how to figurge square foot of an oval flower garden?
It’s a simple formula almost like finding the area of a circle (pi) x r(squared) where r = the radius of the circle
For ovals it’s:
(pi) x (r1) x(r2)
Where pi= about 3.1415, r1 = the longest radius and, r2= the shortest radius
Get it??

Our "square foot garden," Mel Bartholomew method, isn’t working very well?
If you have used this method, please share ideas.
I’ve read in some previous questions that you may have to "tweak" the soil mix, (peat, vermiculite, compost) but I’m not clear as to what changes would have to be made.
